Founded in 2019, the Asia-Pacific Association of Sport Studies (APASS) is a non-profit academic organisation dedicated to promote and expand sport studies in Asia Pacific areas, support communications and cooperation among relevant institutions, and organise academic conferences, workshops, public lectures and exchange activities.

- The APASS is a non-profit organization.
- Membership
Membership embraces Individual or/and institution who/which is focusing on sport studies in Asia Pacific areas. The APASS is open to any sport studies individual and/or institution. Membership will be valid once granted by the Executive Committee and paid with the membership fee. Withdrawal occurs when suspending of membership fee payment, or other incidents.
- Executive Committee
The Executive Committee consists of the Chairperson, two secretaries-general, one financial officer and one media officer. The Executive Committee exercises the powers of managing the routines of the Association.
- Council
The Council consists of one Chairperson and ten representative Asia Pacific vice Chairpersons. The council will be held annually and the council chairperson will chair the meeting. The chairperson of the council has the right to invite relevant personnel to attend the meeting of the council, to absorb/listen to opinions and participate in the discussions. The council is responsible for designing the annual academic activities plan, determining the theme and deciding the venue; It also is responsible for discussing and auditing the qualification of membership applications; and it is in charge of establishing good relationships with universities and/or colleges. It is obligatory for council members to make donations and sponsorships.
- Meeting
The academic meeting will routinely be held annually, and there will be associated irregular middle and small-scale academic symposiums and/or activities.
- Funding
Funding comes from membership fees, sponsorships, and donations. Membership fees will be paid before January 30th. Any delay in payment will result in the suspension of membership, and ineligibility for attending any relevant activities within the entire year. As soon as the membership fee is paid the membership will be reinstated.
The financial year starts from 1st January and ends by 30th December.

APASS Journal:
The Asian Journal of Sport History and Culture published by Routledge.
APASS members will receive The Asian Journal of Sport History and Culture three times annually.
