Aim and Scope of the Special Issue:
This special issue focuses on the breadth of women’s participation in a variety of sports and physical activities, covering more than a century of historical development. This special issue casts a wide net with six entries, as well as three book reviews. The articles cover a broad geographic area from Oman in the Arabian peninsula to a variety of countries in the Pacific region.
